I have just discovered the random shuffle of iTunes. A big drawback to albums is that you like 2 songs and hate the rest. A Jimmie Rodgers (not the cowboy singer) album called Child of Clay is the only one I can think of where I listened straight through, although I did play Johnny Mathis’ Greatest Hits so much that I wore through the skips and scratches. ![]()
So, anyway, the shuffle of iTunes avoids the monotony of one singer and also sidesteps problems with radio music. The car is the only place to listen to the radio where one can punch away from ads and icky songs.
This is a really cool thing. Now I need the iPod so I can hook it up to speakers and not wear out the laptop.
